Well of course it's different, there's a month between 1st QR & 3rd QF
So your point is pretty much nonsense and I can understand the clubs view point that it could have a poor effect on next season if the players get just 3 and half weeks break plus having to cancel planned events they wouldn't have to cancel if they qualified as normal.
Fair play is a nonsense and it's no real shock it's been dumped.

Not really Croe. It's more games, but then it replaces pre season games. The inter toto comp was great for the club and fans which is what football should be about.

In all fairness there is a massive difference between winning the fair play and qualifying by way of one of our 3 allocated places.

Would be livid if they rejected this. They must know what European away trips and European nights in our final year would mean to the fans. It would almost seem like they just saw us as cash cows ....

That's very old and all the English sides went out of Europe with a whimper.
BFS mentioned last week we were still in a European spot, so I guess the club are informed on a regular basis to help with pre-season planning.
